The members of Monmouth Bowls Club are looking forward to the challenges of the new season. As the season starts this week a hefty 48 fixture season awaits those who want to play competitive bowls. In the Monmouthshire League, the club narrowly avoided relegation last year after gaining promotion for two consecutive years. However the club managed to win the Coal Merchants Association league trophy on their first attempt last year. The CMA league is played with five rinks of three players instead of the usual four.
The club has been in
existance for 78 years and has around 40 active members.
